directed by Edouard Deluc
Emotional, sensitive and gently comical. Human centered storyteller, bringing beauty to the everyday life.
Edouard finishes the Beaux Arts in Paris in 1993 and quickly signs his first short film “Petits Enfers” with French actor Vincent Elbaz. He then starts directing music videos in 1999 and collaborates with French famous bands and singers such as Louise Attaque, Tété, Mickey 3D or Jean-Louis Murat. In 2002 he signs his next short film “Je n’ai jamais tué personne” that is shortlisted in many festivals around the world. In 2004, Edouard starts his advertising career working for prestigious brands. And since then, he never stopped directing commercials with always the same enthusiasm and appetite. In 2009, he signs his third short film “¿Dónde está Kim Basinger?” and wins the Grand Prix in French most famous short films festival of Clermont-Ferrand. The film travels all around the world (Tokyo, Melbourne, Palm Springs, Edimbourg, Mexico…) and wins multiple prices in various festivals.
In 2012, Edouard made a remarkable debut in feature films with “Mariage à Mendoza”, starring his muse Philippe Rebbot, Nicolas Duvauchelle and Benjamin Biolay in a sensible road movie around Argentinian beautiful landscapes and a brotherhood rollercoaster.
His second feature film Gauguin Voyage de Tahiti, starring Vincent Cassel and mostly shot in Tahiti was released in 2017. The images are absolutely stunning and Cassel’s performance is poignant.
